About Me
With over 15 years of experience providing individual and group therapy, I have worked with clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, codependency, perfectionism, and relationship stress.
My primary areas of focus include:
-
Women’s mental health
-
Infertility and reproductive challenges
-
Postpartum adjustment and parenting stress
-
Multicultural identity and acculturation
As a biracial Asian therapist, my own lived experience informs my work and deepens my sensitivity to cultural values, intergenerational dynamics, and identity development.
I was raised in Southern California and earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. I completed my Master’s degree in Social Work at California State University, Long Beach, where I developed a strong clinical foundation in evidence-based and trauma-informed care.
Prior to fully focusing on clinical practice, I lived and traveled abroad and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in southern Africa. These experiences broadened my global perspective and continue to shape my culturally responsive approach to therapy.

Professional Experience
My clinical career began working with adolescents and teens before expanding into adult mental health, where I have treated a broad range of concerns and diagnoses.
I co-facilitated an intensive outpatient group program (IOP) for adults experiencing severe depression and anxiety. In that setting, I supported clients in developing practical coping skills, emotion regulation strategies, and structured tools to stabilize symptoms and return to a higher level of functioning within a short period of time.
Since transitioning into private practice, my work has become increasingly specialized in women’s mental health — including support throughout the fertility journey, pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and parenting stress as well as career issues. I am particularly passionate about helping women navigate identity shifts, hormonal changes, relationship dynamics, and the emotional complexities of this life stage.
I also maintain a strong focus on multicultural identity and acculturation. I am deeply attuned to how cultural expectations, intergenerational experiences, and identity development intersect with mental health.
